Apéro & Intellect is a static website for a private event series. This policy explains what information this site handles and which providers manage event and newsletter services.

Information this site collects

This site does not directly collect application answers, registration details, payment information, or account credentials. Lu.ma handles applications, approvals, registration, ticketing, and event capacity. Substack handles newsletter subscriptions through Rami's Readings.

The site stores your classic or editorial style choice and your light, dark, or high-contrast theme preference in your browser's local storage when you use those controls. Those preferences stay on your device unless you clear them.

The site also stores your optional analytics and third-party embed choices in your browser's local storage so it can remember which optional services you accepted or rejected.

Analytics

Analytics are off by default. If you accept analytics, this site loads Google Analytics to understand page views and selected link clicks, including clicks to Lu.ma or email links. You can reject analytics while still allowing third-party embeds. Google Analytics may collect device, browser, approximate location, and usage information according to Google's own policies.

You can reject optional services and continue using the site. If you accept either optional service, you can later use the Privacy choices link in the footer to update or withdraw your choices.

Third-party services

This site links to Lu.ma for event applications, calendar follows, registrations, ticketing, and related event communication. Lu.ma's privacy terms govern information you submit there.

Rami's Readings hosts its newsletter signup on Substack. The site loads the Substack form only after you accept third-party embeds or choose to load the form directly. Substack's privacy terms govern information you submit there.

Choosing “Load signup form” is a direct request to load Substack for that signup block. It does not save embed consent for future visits unless you also allow third-party embeds in Privacy choices.

Data processors

Depending on how you use the site and related event services, the following providers may process data:

• Lu.ma: Event applications, registrations, ticketing, event communications, and calendar follows.
• Substack: Newsletter subscriptions and the embedded Rami's Readings signup form.
• Google Analytics: Optional analytics for page views and selected outbound link clicks.
• Netlify: Static site hosting and delivery.

Event privacy

Apéro & Intellect events are private by default. Organizers share venue details only with confirmed guests unless an event explicitly states otherwise. The site names hosts, speakers, featured guests, and attendees only with their consent.

EU and UK privacy rights

If EU or UK privacy law applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing of personal information. If you consented to processing, you may withdraw that consent.

Lu.ma and Substack process event applications, registration, ticketing, payments, and newsletter subscriptions. You may need to send requests about information submitted through those services directly to the relevant provider.

International processing

This site and the third-party services it links to or loads may process information in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, or other locations where those services operate.

Updates

We may update this policy when the site, event operations, analytics configuration, or third-party services change. The date above identifies the latest published version.
